Reflection Network offers Assistant Therapist placements tailored for individuals seeking to enhance their experience working with Muslim children.
These placements are designed for students currently enrolled in or those who have completed masters-level training in therapy with children and adolescents. In an effort to promote diversity within the field, special consideration is given to Muslim-heritage students, encouraging their participation and responding to the growing demand for culturally sensitive practitioners
These placements provide valuable supervision, overseen by experienced ACP-registered Child & Adolescent Psychotherapists. As a recognition of their significant contribution and acknowledgement of the financial barriers that many Muslim-heritage students face, Assistant Therapists, if funding permits, will receive a modest stipend.
“This is a unique and valuable service. I have had the opportunity to work with young children of different cultural backgrounds with complex mental health challenges, which has really helped me develop as a therapist.”
