Our Services

THERAPY

Our team of dedicated Muslim-heritage therapists provide comprehensive, faith-sensitive therapy services for children and young people. This includes personalised 1:1 in-person sessions, therapy consultations with parents/carers, assessments, and both short and long-term treatment plans. When necessary, we offer ongoing consultations with parents, holding sessions every fortnight.

TRAINING

The Reflection Project extends its expertise beyond direct therapy through a robust training program. Our offerings include staff faith-sensitivity workshops for mainstream services, equipping professionals with the tools to provide culturally competent care. We also address the importance of recognising and unlearning unconscious bias, fostering an inclusive environment. Discussion groups and reflective spaces for staff further enhance their understanding and competency in delivering sensitive mental health services.

GROUPS

In addition to individual therapy and training, The Reflection Project offers valuable group services. These include facilitated reflective spaces for young people to encourage shared learning and growth and discussion groups for parents and carers provide a supportive community. Furthermore, we provide specialised support groups for Muslim adopters, recognising the unique challenges they may face in nurturing the mental well-being of their children; and workshops for young people

CONSULTANCY

We collaborate and partner with public sector, charity and community organisations to help shape and inform their services to ensure that they are inclusive and sensitive towards Muslim children and their families.

RESEARCH

We conduct research, examining the accessibility of services for Muslim heritage children, exploring the impact on child mental health and assessing the efficacy of existing services.

KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Our collaborative approach means that we are keen to connect with organisations and individuals with similar interests and aims, in order to share knowledge, and learnings and generate ideas for new initiatives, events and research.
