Our Work

WHAT WE DO

At The Reflection Project, we specialise in providing safe and professional mental health support to Muslim-heritage children and families, guiding you through every step of the healing process.

.

To deliver this vital work, we collaborate closely with local communities, consult with mainstream services, and provide comprehensive training for therapists and others working with children.

.

Our team of expert therapists, who share Muslim-heritage backgrounds, provide a holistic and culturally sensitive approach to 1:1 therapy. We create a safe space for children to express themselves and their faith identity freely, while receiving the support they need to navigate life’s challenges.

OUR VISION

Our vision is for every Muslim child in the UK to feel heard and healed through timely access to faith-sensitive therapy

WHY WE DO IT

We understand the barriers that Muslim-heritage children and their families face when seeking therapy in a secular environment. Whether economic, social, cultural, or a combination of all three, these barriers are real and often very daunting.

At The Reflection Project, we believe in breaking down these barriers by offering patients access to therapists who share their faith and cultural identity. We also consult with mainstream services to better equip them with the tools needed to sensitively respond to patients from diverse faith and cultural backgrounds.

WHERE WE DO IT

The Reflection Project currently offers free child therapy services in the following areas: Barnet, Haringey, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham (the Al-Manaar service covers K&C, Westminster and H&F, plus further afield). We offer support to parents/carers and professionals more widely.
